Color + Material Application

With a background in technical textiles, I offer valuable insights on materials, manufacturing processes, applications, and performance testing. With a similar approach to color application, I use advanced rendering software and tools to create realistic proposals and effective solutions.

Digital Design/Rendering

My understanding of materiality delve beyond the physical, with a MSc in Adv. Computational Design, I am able to drive innovation through generative design tools, 3D modeling programs and top-notch rendering software. 

Circular Design

Having participated in large-scale emissions reduction through process analysis I have achieved measurable results in carbon reduction, circularity, and advanced material integration. My work displays a comprehensive understanding of both Next Gen materials and  go-to-market production.

With experience in advanced concept development, I have a solid understanding of vendor establishment and managing the procurement process—from initial material exploration and development, to testing and integration.

Drawing on a diverse background in footwear, fashion, mobility, and art, I take a holistic approach to trend analysis, distinguishing between enduring mindsets and short-lived fads, grounded in context.

A bit about Alice.

Raised between Tokyo and Connecticut, my pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design became, quite literally, a journey in weaving two diverse cultures together. My creative path began as an exploration through juxtaposition, bringing seemingly opposite elements together in harmony. From biomedical engineering courses at Brown University to earning an MSc in Advanced Computational Design, I have always sought to infuse life, soul and imagination, into the ever-evolving fabric of innovation and technology.

Starting in 2018, I dedicated the next 4.5 years to Material Design at Nike, beginning with the Kids team and then moving to the APLA team on Asia-Pacific special collections. There, I focused on material innovation, consumer trends and integrating circular design practices. Afterwards, I transitioned to advanced design and research for E-mobility with Bombardier Recreational Products at the Innovation studio located in the South of France.

My design philosophy draws from my multifaceted background, blurring the boundaries between design, innovation, science, and the pure curiosity to dream.
